Yep. These traditions are not at all rooted in the writings of the Bible. They were indoctrinated into Christendom from pagan rituals. Likely to show the pagans that they were similar. Kind of like how Constantine picked December 25 as the birth of Jesus. Pagans used the same time period as the birth of their “sun god” Saturnalia.

Always fold gloves in on themselves like you would a pair of socks. Prevents a nasty surprise. Also, if you leave shoes outside, put something in them so creepy crawlies can’t take up residence.

This was a survival instinct for me as a kid, because my mom was one of those people who liked to rearrange furniture every 4-6 weeks. You never knew where the couch was going to be.

Mouths are dirty. Food caught in teeth, plaque, bacteria, a moist environment. This is a great place to rot something. That said, most mouth sores, or cuts heal quickly. Our bodies are a confusing thing.
