If the politicians want to save bail-reform, then fix it so those with recent violenty felony arrests are not eligible. Give back the discretion for judges, especially those with a long arrest history.

When there is a crisis, opportunity for someone to profit.
For example, in housing with government oversight (DHCR, HPD), there is budget review, competitive bidding, except in the case of emergencies. Then those rules are waived.

I thought Mayor Adams was using the migrant issue to get billions in funding from the Federal government. Couple of millions now, and reap a windfall that benefits everyone involved in housing the migrants, except the migrants themselves.

Queens need a new train line more than it needs another park. Preferably something that covers eastern Queens, and connects to Brooklyn, and Bronx without routing through Manhattan.

Google Ian McKeever, the owner and driver of Ryder and you'll find him at the center of this controversy going back nearly 20 years. At one point, he organized the union in question and was it's chief spokesman.

NYC subways were all built to bring people to Manhattan. We need more interborough, where you don't have to go into Manhattan to get to another borough (say Brooklyn to Queens, or Bronx to Queens).
