Yeah, it was actually the Hungarian Metro. My dad thought they were Romanian cause that's what he was told at the time.

For context, my dad was 14yo at the time and wearing a T-shirt was a form of rebellion against the totalitarian communist regime.

The shirt is a romanian rock band and i have no clue about the cigarette holder - everyone was smoking like chimneys back then and I'm sure it was just another way to look cool

Yeah, he spoke Hungarian and ended marrying my mom, who is Hungarian, although when they moved to the U.S. they lost a lot of that language, just because they stopped using it so much
