Reply to Just finished the pilot episode of The Witcher:Blood Origins. And Willow. And…….[No Spoilers] by odinMithrandir
I enjoyed Blood Origins...but I'm not harboring resentment over Henry Cavill leaving, never read the books or so I have no attachment to the original story, and never suffered the delusion that Witcher was great television in the first place. It was a holiday popcorn binge, entertaining but forgettable, but not significantly worse than most Netflix fare.

The exact same thing happened to me last night in SW. I was making a left turn, stopped when I saw a pedestrian about to cross, and the guy behind me drove around and cut the pedestrian off. Then a giant truck behind started leaning on his horn to make me move.

I remember when I first got to San Diego, my car stalled at a stop light. Instead of honking, the cars behind me just drove around me. I was stunned at the lack of honking and angry swear words as drivers passed. Another time, I stopped because there was an injured dog in the road. As I got out to go rescue the little guy, other drivers just...stopped and waited. Whaaaat...

I felt like SoCal drivers were bad because they weren't paying attention--too sun-baked or weed baked. Kind of like the way pedestrians would wander into the street without looking. I especially enjoyed it when parents would push their small children into the street in front of approaching cars. That's how I learned to drive super defensively. But yeah, ppl here seem to drive with homocidal intent.

He's on a flexi-lead. He's a 90 lb doberman mix and he's more of an ambush hunter. That is, he smells them in their hiding spots, pounces and pulls them out. He doesn't shake them either. His mouth is big enough that he just crushes them with his jaws.

Well, my dog just does this on our daily walks. He's racked up a fair number of kills. There are just so many rats out there that he finds them in long grass or bushes as we walk past. Or inside trash cans, under cars etc.

Reply to Is it weird to go solo to a live comedy show? by smileanja
The last time I went solo to a comedy show I ended up going on a date with the headliner, LOL. Life is an adventure that sometimes must be experienced solo. Go for it!
