Thanks- that's about what I was expecting.

I'll be heading there from Minnesota for a couple days of photography in early May. Any tips? Wondering what will still be snowed-in and where to position myself for some good sunrises & sunsets. I realize the clouds can be hit or miss. I figure if it's clouded over I'll look for some waterfalls. I'll be staying in Ashford.

True. Not every one is a composite, but this one is. Any decent night sky photographer familiar with the location can tell you the Milky Way center will never align in this way at Trillium Lake. Not sure why you're insisting it's not a blend, because it's obvious. It's a nice image, just be honest about its construction. lol

Agreed. OP is not being forthcoming about this image. There's no shame in being transparent, but gaslighting people doesn't fly with me.

I assume this is a composite image? You're not going to see the galactic center shooting north from Trillium Lake.

I was thinking about swinging by here when I come out in early May. Is this the only vantage point for photography? Almost every shot of the falls I see is from this position. Is there some non-sketchy way to get down to the base?
