There's a significant safety & liability concern there. Hairdressers routinely apply potentially toxic and/or caustic chemicals directly to people's hair and scalp. Not to mention sharp cutting tools and very hot implements (curling irons, etc.). All in close proximity to, or even direct contact with, a person's face and neck.

Studies generally say yes, though the particulars may vary from study to study. Certainly regular drip coffee helps, and some studies indicate that other types of coffee may also be beneficial.

The caffeine itself seems to be part of it, although other sources such as tea have confounding factors (e.g. tannins) that may limit their benefit. Coffee seems to have the clearest evidence of a consistent benefit.

Decaf coffee, if you're wondering, has less evidence in favor of it. The conventional wisdom from previous studies suggested that it should be less effective; however, at least one recent study reported a similar benefit to regular coffee.

For a while there Hyundai was famous for their extremely long warranties (100k mi?). Initially, the thinking was that they had to give you such a long warranty because you were gonna need it. Eventually, it got to the point where they could give such a long warranty because you weren't going to need it.

I have some "fishing pants" by Columbia that zip off to become swim-trunks. Nothing fancy, but they've held up well over several years of intermittent (vacation) use.

ETA: I doubt any convertible pant is going to pass as "business casual", but these aren't too bad if no one looks closely. Khaki color, no bulging cargo pockets, etc.
