If it’s this warm now, imagine summer. There’s gonna be so much strain on the power grid, I deff think there’s going to be another major blackout either in this region, and / or other parts of the US in the coming years.

This is why Uber/ Lyft / carshare etc proliferated so much. Shady things like this that cab drivers do allowed these companies to start and grow.

At least uber / Lyft would tell you upfront they’re price gouging you instead of a cab driver being shady and not starting the meter.

I’m sorry, we give rich folks loan forgiveness via the PPP loan program. We give billionaires tax cuts and almost 0% interest loans.
But forgiving student loan debt or financial infrastructure projects? Nah they gotta pull themselves by the bootstrap.
I wonder if Hudson yards would have been viable if they got the same treatment as the MTA.
