Good stuff. It sounds like a great situation.

I was kind of lucky too that I bought an affordable house (with mortgage) in 2018, with rates of 5%, that I was able to refinanced down to 3% in 2021. While it's not paid off, the mortgage payment is half of what the rent in the surrounding areas are going at.

It's funny how I used to think AI would replace manual jobs first, because they are the "brain-dead" job that most people can do and learn quickly. I am very wrong.

It seems like "brain-dead" job like flipping burgers and doing plumbing/construction/mechanic require so complex neural network that is the biological brain that it is extremely hard to replicate in AI/robotics.

On the other hand, accumulating knowledge and spitting it back out is now technically easier and computers can accumulate so much more knowledge and so much faster than a human brain could.

Like calculators made math easy, AI is going to make processing/storing/searching knowledge easy. Like asking a calculator to add 1+1, I could see myself asking AI to find information for me more comprehensively than a Google Search where I have to filter and process the search results.

ACH is actually safer. When you establish an ACH link, the bank and account is verified, either traditionally with test deposits or through instant verification. Then you can simply transfer the money between the banks by selecting from a dropdown menu. Not sure why your ACH will take 5+ days, usually 1-2 days, but they may hold the funds for a few more business days if your account is new.

Wire fund is immediately available same day, but usually the sending bank would charge a fee for that. There is also the low possibility of an error in wiring that can make your money disappear for as long as it takes for the receiving bank to track down. However, usually if there is an error in wiring or the receiving bank rejects it, you get the money back to your sending bank immediately.

I prefer ACH, as I don't like to pay fees and I have anxiety when I type routing and accounting numbers.
