RI probably had one at some point, Arby's shut down a lot of their southern New England locations a decade or so ago.

I'm sure with a bit of Googling, you'll find dozens of reviews that are all basically saying the same thing- "I can't believe I found Indian food this good and authentic in f**king Barre". The plates are around $16-20 but it's totally worth it

Rickie's Indian in South Barre is surprisingly good, and it's also in a rather nondescript gas station. Same with Ananda's up the road in the Thomas Greenhouse building (though the rumor is that they're moving into downtown Barre)

But it's really funny trying to explain Vermont politics to people from California and Texas. We're one of the top 5 bluest states in the country by all metrics, but we're the second most rural state, and our Republican governor was so popular in the last cycle that the Dems basically didn't fund a campaign against him. We definitely have Confederate flag waving idiots in the sticks like everyone else does, but driving over into Northern New York and New Hampshire makes it clear that it's nothing compared to a lot of rural America.

I love Market Basket, if I'm in Claremont or Keene and need groceries anyway, I always stop. If they put one at the Randolph or Northfield/Williamstown exits it would be packed at all times.

We've had two bear attacks over here in Vermont in the past few months, and I saw three myself over the summer. Was there a bear baby boom or something?
