Open world can be really bad. A dozen different things to collect means nothing if the world is boring, a hundred side quests is just filler to pad lack of any real depth to the campaign.

Genres are not objectively indicative of a games quality, I love mass effect and futuristic star trek games are not something I would otherwise normally play. The story is interesting and all content within it flows smoothly

I have a male friend who absolutely will not play as a female character in a game. If a female is the only option, he won't play it. But I'm fairly certain he's also closet bisexual because he says and does some blatantly gay stuff when drunk.

Some may find it weird, I think most wouldn't really care either way though. It's rarely ever a concern what gender my team mates are, it doesn't matter.

Just say you like looking at girl butts over guy butts, it's a hard point to argue 🤷‍♂️

No it isn't lol. Plenty of people frequently shit on borderlands 1 and say exactly what you're saying.

I personally like it the best out of all 3 of them, it has my favorite gunplay and the skil trees don't have a wall of text for each node. It's simple and straightforward to play.

Borderlands 3 was great for the first month but I found myself getting bored with having to use a small handful of meta builds for each character, and most of which require exploiting broken item synergies that allow you to 1 shot God with a splash weapon. I also didn't like or feel much of a connection to any of the 4 characters you get to choose from.

All of these games are literally just shoot hordes of enemies to grind so you can grind better later. More complicated doesn't necessarily mean better, objectively speaking
