Reply to Is your television your monitor? by GeorgeMyght
Nope. I have a SteamLink that connects to my primary gaming computer to my TV for when we want to play a game in the living room.
Otherwise all my PCs are connected to monitors.

Reply to Finished playing RDR2. Good game! I really want to know why people consider one of the best games ever? by one_step_kloser
The slow pace is a common complaint, along with the telepathic cops and the bounty system, the rigidity of missions, and the player model in the epilogue.
The detail and beauty of the world, the richness of the interactions, the depth of the story, the music, the sound design, the writing, the voice acting, the performance capture, and the uniqueness of the quests is what makes it one of the best games of all time.
Players with hundreds of hours in the game are still surprised with a random encounter, an unexpected animal behavior, a funny bit of dialogue, or an interesting bit of lore in an unexplored corner of the world.
And that’s all on top of an already excellent gameplay loop with a ton of replay-ability.
It’s not a perfect game, but it is one of the deepest experiences in modern gaming and there are hundreds of systems that it gets exactly right when lesser games have trouble with only a handful.

I liked Origins, but it doesn’t have the best voice actors. Smith and Baker are fine and they do good work, but they aren’t Conroy and Hamill.

We quote The Princess Bride a lot too.
We also love lines from The Emperor’s New Groove, Shrek, Mulan, Clue, You’ve Got Mail, Groundhog’s Day, and Star Wars and it’s rare that we don’t say at least one line from a Monty Python sketch or movie on any given day.

DOTA2 introduced the battle pass in 2013. Valve added a battle pass to TF2 a couple years later
Season passes had been around for a couple years — starting in 2011 with L.A. Noire.
Fortnite adopted battle passes in Season 2, which started in December of 2017. Wikipedia notes that the season 3 battle pass (February 2018) brought in over 50 million dollars in a single day.

None of the roles I was thinking of hinge on the makeup they wear.
Oldman as Commissioner Gordon is completely different than Oldman as Stansfield in Léon or Oldman as Smiley in TTSS.
Bale isn’t wearing any prosthetics in Newsies or American Psycho but the two characters couldn’t be further apart.
Olivia Coleman in That Mitchell and Webb Look might as well be a different actress from the one who appeared in Broadchurch or The Crown.

I think he’s one of the best when it comes to conveying emotion and delivering lines, but he’s always Leo. (See also Tom Hanks, Amy Adams, or Denzel Washington.)
I rate actors that disappear into a role and convey that level of emotion higher: Christian Bale, Daniel Day Lewis, Olivia Coleman, Frances McDormand, Gary Oldman, etc.

They thought they had — the article says they were using some content moderation tools from OpenAI, but it didn’t work as expected (and it was probably their fault for not leveraging the tool correctly.) They are planning to fix it before going live again and add some secondary content filtering as well.

Groundhog Day
I frequently have a dream that I shut my alarm off, get up, go about my day, only to wake up but still be actually dreaming, and then have it happen again. When I finally wake up for real, it’s always before my alarm. The only thing missing is Sonny and Cher.

It’s fantastic played co-op too. (And only one of you needs the DLC for everyone to play it, which is pretty cool.)

Disney+ does that for most of their shows. First week usually has 2 or 3 episodes, then they release 1 a week till the end of the season.

For those of you who play on Steam that want to be disappointed: SteamDB Calculator
My own hours on Steam comes to about 1000 hours a year, so assuming that’s pretty constant, and considering consoles, arcades, and playing at friends’ houses, going back to childhood, I would guess just over 50,000 hours in my lifetime.
So I’m definitely an expert now.

The reason those cards are worth $270k now is precisely because so many kids lost theirs. Rarity is an important part why those cards are worth so much now.
