I'm already happy with my electric vehicle. It has so many little perks that make it better than an ICE vehicle.
I think the only remaining issue is that some areas don't have enough chargers.

Global production of new cars is 80 million per year, so you are talking about a 12 year time span, correct? Also population will start falling around 2050-2060, so production should slowly fall too.

Not many details and it sounds like existing tech. They all tend to suffer from the same issue, environmental factors cause too many variations in the results.

You do know that the US deserts are massive, right? It's like saying we're concentrating solar in 500k square miles. It's really hard to blow up that much space.

It's also possible that they would try to shift those responsibilities onto her and do without the new position. This has happened to me a few times.

I was only talking about my experience.
