I think it was established at that date as part of Salem. Going by the established date Boston uses Beverly as it’s own entity would be younger than Boston.

It ain't a recession until the only colors left in the world are brown, orange, and a particularly sad shade of off-white.

Winter activewear is the best for shoveling. Something thin and tight but moisture wicking and all you need is one more layer to stop the wind.

Yep, could end up with a private theatre for the cost of the tickets.

I agree with most of this but the "free money" is just a portion of the fees the credit card company is taking from the merchant which you're already paying for in higher costs.

Neither, go to the North Shore, plenty of beaches and hiking like the Cape but the towns won’t be completely dead.

I agree red light cameras are bad. Heck, red lights period are bad, which is why more intersections are switching to rotaries.

Hmm yeah I wonder who pushed for making speed cameras illegal. Who would benefit from making $200/ hour to take naps on the highway.

Nah just put up speed cameras. It’s always been fucking ridiculous that someone in a car thinks they can just drive whatever speed they feel like, but it’s equally antiquated to have a human out there standing on the highway with a gun to enforce it.

Assuming you order from a store. Mattresses in a box are pretty popular these days, so it is an annoyance, but I'm sure any of the dozens of trash pickup on demand companies will have an option for it.

Every school in our town has a clothing / textile bin. The mattress change is more annoying but how often are you getting rid of mattresses.

A lot of the houses in my town were funded by the business in town. Unfortunately today a business can go almost anywhere so they can fight over the space and force the workers to deal with housing.

It's a nice town and you're renting right next to the Commuter Rail that can get you into Boston in 30 minutes. Not to mention there's been lots of plans to further develop the other sides of the tacks with affordable housing but people keeping NIMBYing it.
