Got it, so you're just throwing ideas out there without understanding what the guard is actually capable of doing (which is not community policing), how that would work legally and operationally, and if that would make things better or worse.
I'm all about solving this plague of violence. But if you don't understand what you are actually proposing, maybe you shouldn't say it?

<shrug> its on every menu so not sure why.
People tend to focus on the pure order, which is just gatekeeping BS. A lot of places have interesting variations. One of the best new(ish) places has a "truffle wiz" which is supposedly incredible.

I used to work at Ft McNair in DC and they had a shuttle that went to a metro station. We were told during orientation to take the shuttle and not walk to the metro because uniformed soldiers were being robbed at gunpoint.
There is no evidence that a national guard deployment would do anything besides put heavily armed young adults in a situation which they are not trained for.

Not true, doesn't matter the cheese type. My old order was american, wit (referring to onions), and roasted peppers. Born and lived in Philly for 20+ years.

Yes, but I’d say 95+% would never answer that question. They’d confirm dates of employment and maybe job title, that’s it.

West Nile is not the only disease spread by mosquitoes. Here is a good source on why it’s a growing issue. A significant expansion of mosquito (and ticks, can’t forget about those) breeding more northward can have significant worldwide impact.
Also, I would’ve hoped that the last several years would demonstrate how dangerous communicable diseases can be.

You’re going to less enjoy the spread of diseases uncommon to this area due to the prevalence of mosquitoes.

Oh I believe that. I have two little guys; one who just moved up to first steps (4 days/week) and another who is almost done with daycare (5 days/week). It’s approximately $3.4k/month.
My wife and I make good money, but it’s over $7k a month for just the mortgage and childcare. Doesn’t even touch groceries or utilities or a car payment or anything else.

I’d say I’m waiting for the day that my kids are outta daycare because its basically just paying my mortgage again, but it’s just gonna be putting that same almost away for their college education. The continued rise of that cost is utterly terrifying.

You’re right and this teacher needs to be relax. My wife and I try to say, “Oh my gosh!” around the house as a way to head off this exact situation, but thats just us being probably too cautious. (Also a likely reaction to a family member who has a sailor’s mouth and now her 3yo says ‘fuck’ so that’s neat)
Does your little guy watch Bluey? The parents/kids in that use a lot of funny, but kid-safe phrases that you could introduce. Plus, then you’re watching Bluey which is always a good choice.

Right, if they are a legitimate business, they will have the insurance and just pay the claim out.
If they involved in fraud/negligence/reckless/illegal acts, then the LLC doesn’t protect them anyway.

Because larger LLCs, or those simply operating like a legit business, will carry the appropriate liability insurance in the event that it’s employees screw up or when accidents happen. That’s extremely common, a best practice, and the typical result to settle the claim.
Smaller LLCs, or ones that are badly managed, will be personally involved in operations including any negligent/fraudulent/illegal actions. That involvement negates the standard LLC protections and exposes the ownership to individual liability. You also run into situations where a member claims they weren’t “directly” involved in X matter, but somehow their specific LLCs are constantly being sued for the above issues. A strong argument to make and one that leads to a settlement in order to head off the much larger ramifications.
There’s also a crap ton of legislation coming down at a federal level which is focused on improving the transparency of beneficial ownership, including for LLCs, because such business setups are constantly used for financial crimes.

I’d agree with this more except the number of Massholes bombing down the right lane makes that merge a bit more ‘interesting’. Though you still shouldn’t stop.
My favorite is close proximity on/off ramps, like 93-95, where it’s really obvious to zipper when there is heavy traffic…and people still don’t do it.
