Reply to $39 Cooler Master case turns your old Framework Laptop parts into a tiny PC by TradingAllIn
I really reallly hope Framework succeeds. Their entire DIY repair/upgrade your own stuff is so consumer friendly, especially this case where you can repurpose your old parts into a little media server.

I haven’t gone to Panera much ever since they got rid of the black and blue salad almost a decade ago. It was too expensive then for what you get in terms of meals, I’m sure it’s even worse now.

Reply to Study reveals that although private automobiles continue to be the dominant travel mode in American cities, the share of car trips has slightly and steadily decreased since its peak in 2001. In contrast, the share of transit, non-motorized, and taxicab trips has steadily increased by giuliomagnifico
I’ve gone through a variety of middle-weight motorcycles for leisure since I started riding in 2019. I do a lot of travel for work, so I do still very much need a 4-wheeled vehicle for going 100-300 miles to the job site for a week, but I recently swapped the bike out for a 150cc scooter. Now I’m using that for running around town when I’m at home.
The balance is phenomenal, thr small wheels means is extremely maneuverable, the underseat storage and top case means I can do a grocery run, and it’s hard to beat 90 miles per gallon. Plus it’s just fun.
Only times I take the truck around the home town now is if I need to take passengers or lots of stuff.

Reply to comment by Bobby_Marks2 in Ford’s EVs are getting faster charging and more affordable batteries thanks to new chemistry by Ssider69
The only real advantages they have left are not needing to buy through a dealership middle-man, and their charging network. And the latter is a very real differentiator if you plan on going long-distances in your EV.

When I was in college in the late 00's, they had just started going all-in on the new books coming with a code for some tiny sliver of digital material that you absolutely had to have as a course requirement.
Just another grifting scheme.
