#2 runs into the problem where if a specific style becomes popular for AI art (ex. Greg Rutkowski), discriminators will start flagging anything matching that style, including the authentic works

AI image generators natively output to relatively low resolutions (stable diffusion does 512x512), so you can't do a fair comparison at higher resolutions

And it doesn't necessarily always get them wrong, they're just the easiest thing to notice.

You're going to have trouble seeing fine details if the image is the size of a postage stamp, pixel density be damned.
