Bahahaha a 30 mile corridor where drivers spend on average 30/34.5 extra minutes in traffic on their commute is bad?! Whatever bullshit metics this research company used to determine that was the most congested stretch of highway in the country is straight up junk stats. There are parts of the 10/405/5 freeways in LA that every single morning take 30 minutes to go 5 miles if you're lucky. LA isn't even the worst traffic in the country either, apparently DC is quite a bit worse. The fact that you even referenced an article calling out 35 minutes of traffic on a 30 mile corridor as being bad just shows how disconnected from reality some CT people are when it comes to traffic.

Connecticut traffic isn't shit. Anywhere with actual attractions is going to have way more traffic than anywhere in this state.

This guy's basement is fully finished with a pit and a bucket full of lotion on a pulley.

Bloomfield on the Simsbury side is pretty nice. I would probably look there over anywhere in East Hartford.

When it comes to Hartford the northwest and southwest sides have less crime and are close to better towns. The town of West Hartford (not part of actual Hartford) is the generic answer to most people asking where to live around Hartford because Hartford itself isn't that great.

You know, there are quite a few apartment finder websites available that can answer that question for you. Any medium to large apartment complex will have all their availability inventory and prices online.

Right? They will last a long long time in most cases. Sure, they might start leaking eventually but 90+% of the time that will probably take a decade or more to start happening. It's not worth the gamble of course but if you want to apply a more permanent fix at a later date they will work fine. Funny enough an outdoor hose bib is probably the best application for one since those take a beating and need to be replaced pretty often anyways and likely need to be replaced well before the sharkbite collet and o-ring wear out.

I wouldn't argue with that. I would go to McDonald's 10/10 times over Dunkin for a basic cup of coffee.

Donut Crazy in West Hartford is pretty good. But I agree, I don't understand why people like Dunkin at all, the donuts are absolutely trash and the coffee is McDonald's tier, so it's drinkable but nothing great. Any little Vietnamese run donut shop in California would absolutely blow New England's mind.

It's also significantly more expensive which may be a problem for OP.
