They had one of those Star Wars BB-8s (or whatever… the uniball with a “head) running around. It was pretty fun to watch.

Is that what happened to me?!
Went in for my ear speaker being so quiet I couldn’t hear a thing (old iPhone, but I have the same issue with my 11 pro max.)
I was with my two little girls, and had like an hour long wait. They were apologetic, because I had made an appointment. “No worries,” says I. I assumed I’d be waiting anyway. They got my number and I took my girls for a walk and to get some treats from the food court.
The text came in that I was ready to be seen. We go in, and they take my phone for a VERY long time. My girls were having fun playing around with the display iPads, and I was enjoying watching them. The guy helping me was so apologetic, but to be honest I was having a good day.
They eventually came out with a brand new phone for some kind of recall I never knew existed and couldn’t find online.

You’re absolutely right. It was a Republican Congress and a Dem President.
One of my biggest (well, THE biggest) criticisms I had of Hillary during her run was that she never said, “we championed a lot of causes that ended up turning out poorly. I learned from those mistakes.” She stood by almost everything they did (and yes, they did it. She was as much the person behind the curtain as Dick Chaney was to Bush.).
My lifelong career was going to be broadcasting until that changed it all. Much of the magic left. Now, you don’t even need a studio to have a local station anymore. Put up a transmitter and a receiver, link it to an automated radio piece of software in LA, and boom. You have radio stations everywhere spouting what you want people to hear.

The joke was Clinton would jog every morning… to McDonalds.

Clinton was actually the one to deregulate all of that in the Telecommunications Act of 1996. I was in broadcasting at the time, and when he signed it into law, TV culture changed almost immediately.
I no longer needed an FCC license to do my job. Saturday morning cartoons went away. Well… the good “classic” ones anyway. iHeart Media (clear channel at the time) immediately started taking over.

I got mine and ran a 5k the next day. My arm was a little achy, but not bad.
I also went a second time and got my flu shot.
I maybe can't stop the world's problems, but whatever problems come my way, they end with me. The way I see it, the government has given me great power – for free! – to volunteer to help change the world. Why not?

I started a business nearly 13 years ago that has done exceptionally well.
I always liked the stories like this where huge stars had every reason to be cocky, pushy, and elitist but chose to go the route of professional, helpful, and friendly.
There are a LOT of business owners who taste success and treat their employees like shit, push people around, and stick their nose up at the life they had before winning in the business world.
I’ve consciously worked to avoid that at all costs. I’m a male, but you will never find a single female employee of mine who will ever say I was anything less than professional and equal in my time working with them. I roll up my sleeves and do dirty, hard work right alongside everyone else. At the end of the day, we all go home at the same time.
I want to be remembered as a highlight of someone’s professional life, not as an experience that sucked.

I’m a former aviation meteorologist, and icing was my first thought. It would cause a nose-up AOA and eventual stall. Looking at the obs, there was a ceiling at 060 with light snow. Temps at the surface hovering around freezing. You can get a fast accumulation of clear ice in those conditions. You can also get induction freezing in the engines when they are revved up for climbing.
Combine a frozen engine, clear ice, and a sudden stall and spin, and it wouldn’t take much for something to break off.
