Yes - I remember doing the math and it was actually cheaper to uber than to take the T. Now I just want the 3 mile trip to/from the airport to be less than $30-40 lol (The only time I use uber because it's so goddamn expensive now)

Or they don't pay attention to the other factors. When they kept the T open later, "nobody" rode it because 1) it takes time to change behavior 2) Uber was suuuuuuper cheap then

The poor owners wouldn't be able pay off their 2nd home with the profits from their 1st! God forbid.

But SA is consistent, centrally located and near the T, easy to step into without a reservation, has multiple different types of beer/seltzer, has a full food menu, and might be a fun tourist spot for someone coming into town. Is it my favorite? No, but I think it's a good suggestion for a tourist/vacationer that isn't getting a rental car and talks about doing things in the city.
But yes, agree to disagree. We just have different tastes :)

That's funny, I totally disagree with the 2 things you would give up. Faneuil Hall is so close to beautiful views of the water, walking to the Aquarium and seeing the seals fo free, and the Sam Adams Brewery there is pretty great. And Salem (outside of October) is one of my favorite places in New England. Great food, great brewery and cidery, very walkable, and beautiful public spaces.

Yes, the driver could get in trouble with their boss/employer for allowing someone on without paying. Is it likely? Maybe not, but it is definitely possible.

Getting to be that time of year to decide whether to resign or find a new rental. It is just so fucking frustrating. I hate renting in Boston.

We have flown quite a bit in/out of Logan and have not had any issues with calling ubers/lyfts, but we have to go significantly closer than Watertown so YMMV.

That was the worst5 hours of my entire life.... I have been on cruises and was OK, but that boat was just sea sickness hell. I'm sure it would have been nice otherwise haha

Accountant… 5 days a week with basically no excuses. Even when we had to work a random Saturday, it was in office. Now, for a different company and post-Covid, I’m 100% remote and will never go back!
