My 6 month old was admitted 2 weeks ago. Criteria for admission at Inova Fairfax was O2 sat less than 90% awake 88% sleeping. We had to stay 2 nights in the hospital on oxygen. So yes, she had a cold, but she was also hypoxic. I don't know that I'd have felt comfortable going home if her O2 sat was hanging out at 91. Also we started at the peds urgent care and took an ambulance to the ER so it's not like we jumped straight to ER.
