I would recommend Chong Qing house, I’m Asian who grew up with native Chinese parents and the food there is very authentic. Not your typical Chinese takeout

I’m an asian guy who’s in their mid 20s that grew up in RI. Disregarding the colleges and universities in Prov (Brown, RISD, etc) there isn’t much diversity in terms of an Asian population. I think it’s gotten better over the years but definitely doesn’t compare to like Boston but I do imagine it might be better than Denver (visited for the first time last year, absolutely gorgeous out there). Dating scene I heard can be tough for young professionals around here (luckily I met my gf in college right before I graduated) but not impossible. For the OP, I think you just have to find where you fit in. PVD is diverse in the different things you can do so don’t lose faith if it seems challenging at first to find your footing.

I second this, i was apart of a club sports team all 4 years and ended up being the President of it my senior year and it was the best decision during my time at URI. Made way more and frankly better friends than the ones I made freshman year from being in the dorms. I’m a couple years out of school now and I’m still very much in touch with many of those friends from the club.

Definitely not cheap like your typical Chinese takeout but I think it’s worth it. Portions are good, my gf and I typically get 2 dishes and that paired with rice it’s enough for dinner and we always end up having leftovers too
