Reply to MonoBox: a lightweight music player that can stream songs from your computer's local library to your phone's app by Ozzs55
Uhhh.... Why? I have 128 GB of storage on my phone, I can just put my whole music library on it, so why stream it from my computer...?
For me the whole point of Spotify or other online music services is discovering new stuff and being able to listen to songs I haven't downloaded yet.
I see you put a lot of work into this app, but I struggle to think of anyone that could sensibly make use of it, maybe except for people with absolutely massive libraries.

Reply to comment by someone76543 in ELI5: In recent years, new formats like webp and jfif have started popping up. However, if I rename them to gif or jpeg, they still work. How can it be that renaming the extension doesn't ruin the image format? Why do they even exist then? by Luthemplaer
I use IrfanView as my image viewer and it even notifies you when the extension doesn't match the actual file format, like "this JPEG file has .png extension, would you like to rename it to .jpg?"
