The SSDI program does not limit how much money you can have in the bank because there are no resource limits as you find with SSI.

If you are on disability, then having that much money in the bank can disqualify you from receiving disability.

Might want to recheck that. You can have assets,money in the bank, and still qualify and receive SSDI.

Just got back from SD. Indiana and Illinois were close to the same or higher than here. But Wisconsin and Minnesota were the cheapest I saw. It was hard for me to believe that NY and Mass were cheaper than here. Can really chew up the miles with 80mph speed limit in SD.

As far as I know Canada does not ban you from travel it prohibits you from driving in their country. Also I also believe ( not positive ) this is for a 10 year period.
