Same, mines always been on the high side and the lifelong cannabis use really hasn't curbed that at all

Yeah, of all the mad shit I've seen, or even done myself, while drunk in front of colleagues, this sounds about a 3/10 in terms of how much of a drunken disaster it was. It will be pretty much forgotten by the end of the week.

Fair point but Selby has always played both. He's been a pro snooker player since he was 16/17.

The rule is about where the balls "lay to rest". Theoretically you could smash a ball off a plantpot in the garden and if it lands on the bed of the table, or is potted, it's legal.. provided no other rules are broken (such as chipping the cue ball over another ball before it's made contact with a legal object ball).

As Ronnie OSullivan describes snooker vs pool: "snooker is like a nice fillet steak and pool is like an old bit of mashy ham". A bit disrespectful, but snooker is a league above pool in terms of difficulty. Many snooker players have easily transitioned into playing professional pool, both American pool and English pool. Very few, if any, pool players have made it at snooker. Effren Reyes is apparently very good at snooker. That doesn't seem surprising though

Its meant more of a turn of phrase than literally. I'm sure he didn't actually run to Russia, but in transit or not, he chose to run from the US authorities and accept political asylum in Russia. I'm sure most would do the same seeing what happened to Assange. Also, I've just read some of his recent tweets and he has somewhat suggested some opposition to the war in a more-obvious-than-id-expect kind of way. Seems like he's in a bad and growingly frustrating position.

They basically just imposed a load of legislation to make it actually legal, provided it was done under certain circumstances, and also by essentially spying on other allied country's people and sharing the information as part of the "Five Eyes". UK passed the "snoopers charter" and the US passed the "patriots act" and all of a sudden its now legal and they don't have to tell you anything about it.

And Edward Snowden himself? Also nothing, he ran off to Russia seeking political asylum and I believe he now has citizenship. He's been very quiet since the beginning of the Ukraine invasion bar one quite odd tweet. Edit: seems like he has been tweeting a lot recently actually

Most/many bars in Dublin sell food and have music. They nearly all serve the same function as somewhere to socialise, have a few drinks, enjoy music and maybe eat some pub grub. They aren't really the distinct activities as you are making out.
