If in Arlington, there’s neighborhoods near by that do have no parking meters. Also the metro garages have covered parking too.

My 11 year old daughter loved walking the mall and going to every outdoor memorial and reading everything! We started at Jefferson and walked through to MLK, it hits Lincoln, WW1, WW2, FDR, Vietnam, Korea Wars, & Woman Suffrage(?)

The Smithsonian museums are moving to timed tickets so definitely get those now! Are you just doing tourist stuff or do you want to visit any campuses while here?
