This! 75% of traffic problems would be solved by people using signals and traffic watching for the signal and letting the car into traffic.

How old are the kids? I wouldn’t move into a town with a high tax rate to support the school system unless I had kids going through school.

Look south of Glastonbury. Search in Portland, East Hampton, Hebron. All of these towns would have an easy commute to Glastonbury. If you’re going to need to drive to a Glastonbury office then you should eliminate the 84x91 traffic commute. Just my .02.
If you enjoy just walking (as opposed to only hikes) then Glastonbury downtown has a wonderful sidewalk system that you can easily walk 5+ miles daily without dodging cars. There are also walkable restaurants from the center. Glastonbury is a wonderful town but you’ll probably pay more in taxes to fund a school system you might not take advantage of.

Similar situation. From what I can tell they have very broad areas that they know are out due to a main line. Then feeding out from the main line could be lots of streets. If those streets also have downed lines then they might not know or have those secondary streets listed until the main line is up.
That’s what happened to us. We got a text that our power was back. It wasn’t. Our street still had trees over the power lines.
Had to report the outage again and go through the waiting all over. Their restore estimates - unless your on a main line - appear to be mostly guesses.

I’ve seen this move before. About three times.

Spoiler: Eversource built in a $25 give back into their price hike. So they are ahead $15.
Spoiler2: This will come out of your increased property taxes once - in order to fund this - the state cuts what they give towns again.

This. Shoreline East (into NY - connect thru New Haven to Metro North). Amtrak into Boston (or connect to local T).

No subsidy plans in CT are up 25%. Actually they eliminate the old plan so nobody can complain about a rate hike on their existing plan. Just for reference no subsidy in CT about $1,100 up from $800 with similar high deductible.

During COVID I had to go in for renewal. It was very well organized. Minimal wait time. It took a pandemic to for some organizations to get their processed streamlined.

I’ve hiked Dudleytown - although it was 20 years ago - and I don’t remember anything remarkable (or scary). The coolest thing was we hike over Mohawk ski area and the snow was being made and piled way up over our heads.

Reply to Rocky Hill suing apartment complex owner, its top taxpayer, over conditions by mas90guru
After months of litigation and years of complaints by residents, a lawyer for the Town of Rocky Hill said he expects the owners of an apartment complex to agree to an outline of repairs by Friday.
“If they cared about their reputation, I don’t see how they can allow this to go on,” town legal counsel Morris Borea said publicly of the owners of Concierge Apartments at a town council meeting Tuesday.
