As a farmer I spend a ton of time on my feet. Thorogood boots have for many years been my favorite. I probably oiled these for the last time today. I always have two pair so I can alternate, but they quit making my size so I guess I’ll have to move on. I didn’t take a photo of it but the stitching is giving way in a few places. The soles are only half wore out but I wear them mostly on soil.

These are maybe 10-12 years old, never done anything but clean them and oil them with saddle oil which is mostly lanolin and silicone. Same laces, worn all year around.

I hope I can find a company as good to replace them with. I need a narrow width, most companies don’t have them.

We have Pennsylvania House stuff that has gone through three kids and 50 years of use. Still tight but needs a refinish.

It isn’t veneer.

Look on YouTube about how to increase the water level on the washer, it will increase the capacity a bunch. I understand that is one of the restrictions they did to sell to the home market. I don’t know for sure, I did ours and it really increased the capacity.

Go slowly you don’t want it to over fill.
