What, possibly, would be the point of that? Just watch the original.

Knowing (2009)
I know that this is a hot take but I feel that the beings featured in this movie are actually supposed to be what we think of as the angels mentioned in the bible.

I just think you haven't seen any good ones. You say that they do it to save money and this tells me that you are watching low budget, crappy movies. There have been a lot of them that do suck but that can be said for all movies. If you choose to not watch a specific type of movie based upon your past experience with this type of movie you could miss out on good movies. There are several FF movies that are way better than most horror movies I have ever seen and better than most of what is coming out currently.

Bram Stoker's Dracula
When Gary Oldman , as Dracula, says to Mina, played by Winona Ryder,
"I have crossed oceans of time to find you."
That shit hit hard.

This sounds like you are saying "I am just too smart for action movies," and it comes across as pretentious.

John Carpenter's The Thing (1982)
This would be amazing as a Muppet movie.

There are many, many other films that utilize this plot devide throughout cinema history. Although The Sixth Sense was one of the first that used it with such effectiveness, there have been several movies that came out before it even that worked in the same way. Here are some of those movies. Spolier alert.

Leonardo DeCaprio
I am old enough to remember when he appeared on Growing Pains and I hated him from the start. Going into films, he continued to fail to impress me. What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Romeo + Juliet, Titanic, The Beach - all disastrous. Then, starting with Gangs of New York he became one of my all time favorite movie actors with roles in movies like The Departed, Blood Diamond, Inception, and Django Unchained.

Watching Batman Begins and The Dark Knight on Thursday afternoon before the 12:01 Friday screening of The Dark Knight Rises. I spent the entire day at the theater watching Batman movies and it was awesome.
