Yes, it was multiple school districts across the state. All the schools near me were on lock down. Including the one my 5 year old attends. It was a widespread hoax. The message to police was an automated message sent out around 9 AM for all the schools effected. It’s being investigated by FBI now.

Yes and today is actually our wedding anniversary! We got married there in 2017 and it was magical. We did it in the Broderie Room during their orchid show. The room was rented for 90 minutes, but there are different time periods and different rooms that you can rent out depending on how you want your ceremony and if you are getting catering there, etc. The event person will talk you through all those details. The flowers were beautiful and so were the decorations from the orchid show. We used a microphone (provided by Phipps) so everyone could hear our ceremony/vows. The temperature was great for our event and everyone still talks fondly about the ceremony. It was laid back, beautiful in nature and everything we wanted in our wedding.

Edit to add that we got a reduced rate so we could have admissions to all parts of Phipps for our wedding guests. I have a bunch of nieces and nephews so this was perfect for them to be able to enjoy all of Phipps.

If it’s in the outskirts of Tyrone in the mountains, then yes, they needed AWD. If it’s in the outskirts the other directions where you’ll be lucky to see a plow once 24 hours after the storm comes, then AWD is needed unless you want to be stuck in your lane. If they live closer toward Altoona, then you can get away without having AWD.

Short answer: it depends.

Same here! Light cold at first turned into this crud. At 2 weeks, I went to the doctor because I developed a cough. Doc said my entire left sinus and half of my right were occluded with infection. I’m now on antibiotics, which have helped immensely! My husband made it 2.5 weeks, got better and then got worse suddenly so he’s also on antibiotics now.

The implications of the answers of my questions were not difficult to comprehend. The sarcasm in the post was shielding the point of it so thank you for the clarification. I understand your opinion, how the facts relate to your opinion, and where you are coming from now.

So is this supposed to be commentary on death row and what it means to be on death row for so long? Commentary on molestation and how people can help victims of molestation through different charities? Could it be that you’re related or friends to the victims and how it effected your life? Or maybe a genuine wishing of happy holidays? I’m a bit confused on the point of the post tbh.

I’m sorry to hear about your father. It’s really hard to watch our loved ones age, and it’s also really difficult when they have falls and hurt themselves. This can be a very frustrating time for the family and the patient. I understand this as I am a professional that works in physical rehabilitation.

The only way that he can be designated as not of sound mind is if a doctor has expressed it and/or there has been legal action with proof that he is not of sound mind. I don’t want to discount your feelings or thoughts as you try to communicate with him. Your feelings are yours and it’s absolutely okay to express them. This is just how it is- a doctor and/or legal action with proof. If this hasn’t happened and/or a doctor has expressed that your father has his faculties and is able to communicate to people with nods, etc as he does, then the doctor’s medical evaluation is what is followed. Now if you are concerned about any of this, then there is something that you can do. You can bring this to the attention of his immediate caregivers, a social worker, and/or his doctor. However, decisions of this nature are usually done with doctors, POA(s) if there are any, immediate caregivers, and/or an attorney depending on the situation. I do not know where you fall into these categories… You do not have to go into any more details as there is no need for me to know any more of his case or your personal details. And honestly, please don’t because internet/Reddit is not a place where I’m comfortable with any identifying information from anyone. But I wanted to convey that there are people that you can talk to if you feel that you need to express your concerns about your father and what is happening with him. I sincerely wish you and your family all the best.

You are making an awful lot of assumptions here. Who is questioning the comprehension; is it their doctor? There are many people who, through accidents or strokes or injuries, aren’t physically able to be independent and may have issues with speech, but spoken speech and understanding speech are two different abilities of the brain. A person is fully capable of being able to fully comprehend everything around them, but may not be able to fully express through words. The person deserves to be heard even if it’s through different means of communication.

You either know of an instance of this happening in real life and reported it. Or you don’t have any real life examples and are just circulating it as weird “what if” gossip. If it’s the latter, stop.

I get my long haired cat shaved at our vet’s office. If we don’t, she mats no matter what we do. The vet techs were able to shave my grumpy kitty without issue and if we do it at home, we’re bleeding profusely at only just a patch done. Like my vet, your vet could give something like Ativan to calm them if needed. I would suggest going your vet!
