Do they want to rent out my apartment for 400 a night? I'll give the city a discount of $350 a night. I'll gladly go live somewhere else if the city is willing to pay me 12k+ a month instead of a hotel.

I think those are 2 different city departments working off different budgets.

I'm lost, do the drivers not get a cut if there is surge pricing?

More like, what's the point of giving the MTA more money when NYS uses it to fund other projects. Not saying MTA isn't wasteful, but the state def. fks them over with their random spending of their funds.

My old company did this for various gov. inspection jobs. They'd undercut the bids just to win them for the cash flow to pay for other higher paying jobs. Gov. payment was always reliable so that kept the business running when it was slow. When they lost a job to some one else due to a lower bid, they'd have them audited to see how it was possible and fight it. There are a bunch of stupid rules that inflate the bids though like some jobs had requirement where you HAVE to use a company that is women owned for 20% of your supplies. You find them and they ALL charge 200% the normal rate of something like a ream of paper.

The old company I use to work for had the NYCHA contract for the annual boiler inspections. I don't remember if they passed or failed those years but I do remember the inspector assigned to do all the locations was happy AF because of how laid back everyone was.

That's a bus behind the car. Weren't they outfitted with front cameras last year to catch ppl in the bus lane for ticketing? I'm sure if that bus has one then finding this vehicle should be somewhat easy.
