Just want to throw this data point out for you: I tried scheduling an Uber ride around 8pm on October 28th, and kept getting an error stating "due to heavy traffic and unpredictable arrival times, scheduling a ride is not available".
I tried several variations on the time window, but nothing was possible until the next day.
I tried Lyft but apparently they don't even support scheduling rides right outside of city limits.
Tip: If this happens to you, call Springfield Yellow Cab. Taxis are still a thing. They were even cheaper than Uber for this particular ride.
