AirTag is a great product, but it can be used for malicious purposes. The product itself isn’t the problem, but people are.
You can put it in your car to track it if someone steals it, mount it onto bike, put it into your child’s bag/jacket etc.

Create a shortcut on your home screen that turns off wifi and bluetooth.
"stalker beacon".. Stop being paranoid, Apple can't see your location and doesn't care. The same can't be said about Google and their Android OS.
Yea, you boomers don't get the point and now you're saying it's greedy commercial reason lol.

You don’t have to turn it off that way. Easier options are creating a shortcut or by Siri.
Not “every other phone” allows turning off from control center, but every Android phone.
Instead of spitting on Apple, try to understand why it is like that. Wifi and Bluetooth can be used to determine location, communicate with other Apple devices (iPhone, Apple Watch, AirTag etc.), and I guess it helps if the phone gets stolen too. Additionally, if you have an Apple Watch and your heart rate drops too much, having bluetooth on can save your life. Finally, I used to turn off wifi and bluetooth, but the battery drains the same percentage with wifi and BT on.

Actually not. It was working fine for months with background app refresh and location off. Then right after iOS 16.2 update, it stopped working.

Yes, I’m on iOS 16.3 and tried restarting. Still not fixed…

I had no problems prior to iOS 16.2. Background app refresh has been off, and no location allowed for weather. I manually entered the location and it was working.
iOS 16.2 managed to mess it up. I’ve tried removing the widget and adding a new one - still the same. Tried turning on location and background refresh, again the same. It occurs when I’m not using phone for an hour or so. It only updates when I click on the widget.
Any solutions?

Snapchat uses main camera lens for zoom. Try Instagram/Messenger, they use the telephoto lens.
