Yeah, but also sooooooo many people who plan to have their baby(ies) at The Midwife Ctr end up having them at Magee anyway. I know quite a few women who that happened to, and one who wasn't able to get the nitrous because there were too many women in labor at the facility and they ran out of tanks 🤷

It's sad, but not surprising. Being a small business owner is usually a thankless job, and you don't get nearly as much support (and free marketing) as the bigger outfits. Pittsburgh is a closed off community when it comes to restaurants and retail in a lot of ways, and cult followings are often not enough to keep these places going. It's a damn popularity contest out there and as much as we don't want to admit it (and as cool as this sub is), for the most part, we're a basic bitch city 🤷

I still have friends in central Lawrenceville who paid $2,000 a month for a whole row house. You can also rent a same-size condo unit in a 24/7 desk service building with gym and pool amenities for half the price.

Again, you can lease a store space in Ross Park Mall for the same price or cheaper than a terminal space. There are zero local small businesses that are cool that can afford 10k/mo rent. Literally, I can go to Williamsburg and find a similar retail space for the same price - and that's Brooklyn. Either make the rent cheaper or embrace the Chipotle.
