That's the exact reason I'm so grateful for my wife.
She's amazing at recognizing when I NEED to do something, even if I don't WANT to.
Sometimes she'll pack up hiking clothes, backpacks, boots and everything, and basically say "let's go, we're hiking now" and it always helps so much.

My wife and I eloped to Colorado, and while we were there we discussed the feasibility of having our dogs flown out and staying.
Didn't end up doing it, but man do I wanna go back.

One of the albums that's my go-to whenever I need to feel something is "For Emma, Forever Ago" by Bon Iver.
Something about that album just grinds me up and spits me back out on the other side.
Another album that hits like a gut punch is by Julien Baker, titled "Turn Out The Lights"
I will say though, if you're already in a bad place maybe stay away from Julien Baker. Love her music, but man can it feel oppressive sometimes.

There are few people in life that I'm jealous of, but a friend of mine from High School is one of them.
As a short list of things he's been able to do, he was a Park Ranger for Zion, Yosemite, Redwood, Sequoia and Kings Canyon, Glacier Bay, and now Point Reyes.
I sit at a stupid desk in a stupid office and do stupid work.
