Hiring a guide is the best route - they will have all the basic gear you will need, plus they may have items that are nice to have like a shack, heater, and a way to cook food. They will also know places to fish, how to access and help you understand the different ways to set up for different species.

Ice fishing is great, but aside from being a bit expensive to start, there is a bit of information needed to just get started safely.

As mentioned the Facebook groups are good sources of information and so are local tackle shops.

Best of luck!

Pretty uninformed take from one of the committee members to assert that more supply will not help with a housing shortage due to Biddeford’s geography. Housing supply/inventory has been shown to be one of the few, if not only, consistent factors across the country, at the city and county level, impacting unit availability.

Have you considered requesting that the Town of Harrison, the County and other municipalities where individuals live who are served by the food bank utilize their ARPA dollars for this project? It seems right in line with the goals of those funds.

What town is the organization and/or building located in?

Does the organization collect any information on the towns the individuals who access the support live in?

Market is still hot, houses are staying on the market for longer (more than a week) but prices are still up, going quickly (historically speaking) and buyers continue to compete with one another to make attractive bids (waiving inspections, significant cash down, short review periods).

While the situation you are describing MAY have occurred - billing departments make mistakes.

The individual here may have had their bill mailed to the wrong address, may not have known to expect a bill because they incorrectly expected a service to be covered by insurance or the medical office could have miscoded something and the individual is now incorrectly receiving a bill for a service that was covered by their insurance.

No need for your lecture - our medical system is overly complicated, driven by profits and almost as morally corrupt as the insurance industry.
