Give it time - once upon a time I was typing html into a text editor back when Microsoft was still calling the internet "stupid". That changed very quickly. Look at it now.

It's not a steady souce, but food rescue can feed so many people. Just for the cost of moving the food from where it is to where it's needed.
Where I volunteer, we get good deal of the meal we serve on Fridays via Loving Spoonfuls, who get food rescued from places like Whole Foods and Trader Joes.

Depends on the company. Mine has entire departments , entire sites in India, and 3rd shift IT was fully deployed and managed from there for years. They actually got the meatier work because so much was done outside of US office hours. It was no brainer to have them cover 1st and 2nd shift as well.

I'm 64 and I have never seen a winter like this before. A warm day here and there is common. But it's been so consistently warm this year with only an occasional cold day here and there.

Anecdotal, but I know three recent cases that tested negative initially with pretty strong symptoms, but tested positive 2-3 days after the symptoms developed. They all thought it was flu or other virus, then it turned out to be COVID.

Just because you think something will happen doesn't mean you want it to happen. I just don't see "and they all lived happily ever after" as very realistic.

This is end game capitalism - once you get rid of enough labor, there's no longer enough consumers to support the system and the whole thing dies.

I would think the backing needs to be thoroughly cleaned as well? I would think adhesive is not going to work well if it's sticking to drywall compound instead of the wall.

Funny they title this as "Ben & Jerry's owner" instead of "Unilever, owner of Ben & Jerry's" - it's almost like they don't want you to know Ben & Jerry's is made by some soulless corporation.
And yes, the product has changed (not as good) since they sold it.

Who are the people that stand in couples front of a display of religious stuff and talk to each other all day long and never seem to interact with anyone else? They are always at Forest Hills.
There are other people who work alone and actively try to hand out materials, those folks look like Jehovah Witnesses - or at least they remind me of the folks who come knocking on my door occasionally.

Does more cops automatically translate into fewer shootings? It seems like all it would do is give you more resources to deal with the aftermath of shootings.

Under the new system, managers have been asked to categorize 6% of employees, or roughly 10,000 people, as low performers in terms of their impact for the business, according to people with knowledge of the system.
I've seen this system before - it's the one that if your group are all outstanding performers, some of them get dumped anyway, while in another group that's all underperforming, most of them keep their jobs.
