I honestly thought about doing this in an expanded way, with the demon finding other demons inside that went missing over the millennia, mixed with multiple personality syndrome, elaborating on the human, etc. but I got really lazy, sorry!

It was going to be my vengeance, my brethren mocked me for being one of the lowest demon types in existence, and I was going to prove them wrong.

I tried possessing many bodies over the years, with not much luck I might add. Turns out that hu-mans have a stronger spirit than what we think, but after some time drifting, I found a hu-man that looked ripe for possession.

Bags under his eyes, messy hair, arched back, his face showed that there was nothing left for him on the mortal realm, this should be fairly easy...

I waited until he went to bed, I entered his room with my most menacing stance and growl, waking him up.

- "What now..." said the mortal as if I was more of an annoyance than anything else.

- "I hereby will take possession of your body! Relinquish your soul mortal and forfeit your existence to me!" I said as menacing as I could.

- " Sure pal, good luck with that, you'll need it"

Wait, what? This mortal doesn't value his life at all? His soul? His very being?? I shall take it and burn it to a crisp!

In the interim of my thoughts the human went to sleep again. Such disrespect and lack of will to live! I will have fun with this! I said while making myself incorporeal.

As soon as my very being touched this human body it was sucked into it? What was this sorcery? What is happeninnnngggg....

When I recovered myself I was in his body, total and absolute control. This was great, I will cause all the chaos I want and...

- "Hey pal, who are you?" said one voice.

- "Brah, that a nasty a** monster" said another voice.

- "C'mon guys leave him alone" said a third voice, calmer than the others

- "A demon here? Now that's interesting!" said a fourth voice, in a light tone.

- "Who is speaking?" I said.

- "You are, at the moment" Replied a fifth voice, in a serious tone.

- "Who are all of you?" I said while trying to pull myself out of this body

- "Oh, don't even try, you won't get out of here, this is your new home" said the fourth voice. "We are the entities that tried to posses this body over time, we were all sucked in."

- "What do you mean sucked in? Have I possessed some kind of arch-mage?"

- "Nah dude, it ain't like that, guy here doesn't even know how he does it but it sucks anything that tries to possess him." said the second voice

I felt my new mortal body sweating and trembling, I was experiencing fear for the first time in my life, then I felt something shoving me to the side.

- "Told ya, now let me drive for a sec, you'll get your turn" said the hu-man.

And then I was no longer in control, relegated to a simple passenger in a foreign body, living my days in this cramped place with 30 other beings... sharing the day the best I could.

That gave an idea to give a twist to this, how about, patient zero of COVID was the kid, and the full count of COVID deaths would be there? (not stating it's their fault, but it's interesting as a fictional take on it). Can you imagine? You see your kid and the number is rising hundreds of thousands by the second. That'd scare the shit out of me.
