I live in Luxembourg and apparently we have the lowest inflation in the EU. But no one can explain to me why, or how we have achieved it.

You need to learn to value truth over feel-good propaganda. Reuters is not a mouthpiece of the Ukrainian (or US) government. It’s an independent news outlet with possibly the highest anti-bias score in the world.
The Russians are advancing in the north and south - that’s a noose. Implying Russia is winning (this battle) is not pro-Russia if it’s true.

It is, and it will.
One of the few novels I shed a tear at but still enjoyed immensely. Perfectly balanced.
I think they’ll be studying it in high schools in 10 years. What a writer.

I can’t wait for this. One of my top 5 filmmakers doing an adaptation of one of my top 5 novels.

My money says it breaks out in North Africa. Probably Egypt and some other player like Ethiopia fighting over the Nile.

Fine. Here you go. My wager was absolutely right. Recycling absolutely is more effective in other countries.
Key facts:
-
Europe has the highest plastic recycling rate in the world.
-
Since 2006, the amount of plastic packaging waste sent to recycling chains has increased by 92% in the European Union.
-
In 2018, 42% of the amount of plastic packaging collected in the European Union was recycled.*
-
European plastic production accounted for 16% of world production in 2019.
-
51% of world production is attributable to Asian countries.*
-
40% of the European plastic demand is allocated to packaging. 20% in construction and 10% in the automotive industry.*

I never saw the film because I simply couldn’t face it after the book. Can’t remember any other novel making me feel the way that novel made me feel.
Brilliant writing.

I feel like they’re cherry picking the worst offender though. I’d wager that recycling is much more effective in other countries.

Don’t really see a problem with this. Anyone coming to Britain via the channel has already passed through at least one other western democracy to get there. So it’s a bit rich to try and claim that they are fleeing oppression or persecution.
