Sell the car. Both commutes are short walks. The T is falling apart, but Boston is extremely walkable.

How about they actually collect the fares? Most of the time I ride the commuter rail the conductors don't ask me for a ticket.

A little bit of rain doesn't stop anything - it will all happen as planned (would need a big storm to cancel anything and doesn't look like that will happen tonight).

I doubt anything by Ikea or Williams Sonoma would not have their markings on the bottom.

December is great in Boston, not sure why others disagree. The museums are all open as usual, many areas are "dressed up" for the holidays with trees and lights, there are holiday markets to visit, as mentioned above there are holiday performances, and although it may be cold it is still fine weather for walking around.
