At present there's at least a species of ladybug that often has an odd number of chromosomes - some members of that species has a couple of chromosomes fused. This doesn't significantly impact fertility: if a ladybug only has one fused chromosome then during meiosis the unfused counterparts just line up end to end next to it.
The ancestors of humans also had a similar deal but afaik there are no modern humans with unfused chromosome 2.

It's the tides that are pushing the moon away.

I'm skeptical of Web 3.0 in terms of the specifics involved in that term but absolutely agree that decentralising the web again would be a good thing.

IMO a lot of the problems with social media in one way or another stem from each platform being run for profit by a particular organisation. During that big Facebook outage I got into this p2p social network called Scuttlebutt and it has a completely different set of problems.

I have actually been using a decentralised social network called Scuttlebutt. Unfortunately getting started with it is a bit more complex than the centralised versions but after the initial hurdle it's pretty pleasant.

The 4400 started out fine and mostly stayed that way until it finished, Heroes started out stronger but took a nosedive.
Also Manifest has a more similar premise to 4400 than Heroes does.
