Reply to Is “The Shield” episodic? by saulgoodman673
from what i remember, many episodes tend to it's own story, but there is definitely a big season story overall.
many procedurals tend to follow this format (House for instance), but in the shield, the season plot is given more importance, and the episode plot tends to be a "side quest".

sure, but the first season was fantastic.
can't compare both S1 of Walking Dead and TLoU until TLoU is over, but it's a really high bar to pass.

Amazon Prime says hello.
the fact they separate seasons as technically different shows is infuriating.

i think, in a way, it's the point, Seinfeld is never (or hardly ever) in the top charts, but it's watched a decently a lot the entire time, meanwhile shows like Wednesday, Squid Game, Stranger Things, etc, will have huge numbers for 1-2 months, but later on will fall a lot (once everybody is done watching).

agree with you, between Friends or Seinfeld, Friends was far more popular in my country (Portugal), Seinfeld, hardly anybody gave a shit about it.

i can't say the show is terrible since i havent finished it (watched 2 episodes).
but i really don't feel like continuing it...it's just so boring.
there are slow burner shows, but fuck me, 1899 is really slow.
ep 1 i randomly falled asleep during it, and ep 2 i had to force myself to remain awake to finish it.

i expected to be a Wednesday show overall, but expected to see the family in more than 2 episodes.

yup, i saw her relationship with Morticia as the typical "teenager girl rebelling" against her parents, but in an "Addams" way.

my only "issue" with the issue is the lack of the Addams family, it would had been fun to see the interact with each other more.
Also, although i don't dislike Nevermore, it would had been pretty cool to see Wednesday and Pugsley in a "normie" high school for longer.

it's mostly that these companies spent millions (or even billions in Apple's case) in making their super futuristic offices, and now no one wants to be in them.
so they need to justify that investment by having people go back there.
