Reply to Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates says the rise of AI poses a threat to Google's search engine profit by Nsaxon
As long as chatGPT doesn't show it's source, Google is still the best and most popular search engine returning sources that can be validated.
If Microsoft can come up with a stronger search engine and include GPT3/4 with sources, it can definitely challenge Googles position.

ML can be use to train a model to perform a specific task very well. We humans have a way more broad intelligence.
Imagine if we could use 100% of our brain power to perform one task 24/7, that was trained all its life to perform that one task, we could outperform an AI easily.

I get that, but normally companies mostly invest in technology/research that will profit in the future. And I’m sceptical quantum computing can return the investment, as I don’t see a business model yet and the investment has been huge.

They already did on July 17, 2014. Nothing happened afterwards so don’t worry.
