Lol I mean it’s totally not my thing but that doesn’t mean it sucks. I recognize the guy has talent and maybe someone else here will find a new favorite in him.

Oh yeah I've heard him. It's pretty neat. I don't think I could do repeated listens but certainly worth checking out and maybe seeing live.
As for Apocalyptica, symphonic metal has actually been pretty well established since I think the late 90s! Fun genre though.

Darn I was hoping it was actually cosmic sounding. It's very pleasant but, for me, still pretty standard sounding. Still good though.

Huh...what is that like a low fi, chill, funk? It's like if the song Redbone were a whole band.

Ok that was pretty cool. Got a little bit of Greydon Square feel from that one. I like.

Not bad. Not my thing but I agree it is fairly genre defying and well put together. Since we're sharing here's something I just put out: https://soundcloud.com/sidianmsjones/spawn

Chat Pile. Been a while since I heard someone sound like Nirvana. Not to mention Mexican Seafood era Nirvana. Don't mean that in a bad way btw. It was interesting.

Wow! For lack of better words, Young Fathers definitely has something different there. Cool shit. I love how they kinda had me chuckling in the beginning and then I was like...oh...
Sleaford, less enjoyable for me but still doing their own thing, so respect.
BCNR, almost a Talking Heads kinda feel. It was alright but I feel like the 'mess music' style has been done quite a bit over the years and never catches on because it clearly doesn't lend itself to repeated listens. It's more of an experience if you get me? Regardless, they are bucking the trends so that's cool.
Girl Band, interesting and definitely defying genres. Feels like LCD Soundsystem having a bad acid trip lol. Interesting to hear but wouldn't listen again.
Thank you for taking the time to list these though, I had fun checking them out and someone might find their new favorite here. Plus Young Fathers, I'm gonna have to check out more of them.

I'm huge into Personal Mythology, which includes talking a lot about cultural and modern mythology. Loving your breakdown of it. Been thinking of doing some casual recorded conversations (podcast) about this kind of thing and having guests come chat.
