And Kenny’s! As cheesy as he is in the internet realm, he could sing and they compliment each other well on that tune

I like all kinds of music, notably punk-rock and rap….but Islands In the Stream remains in my top 10 favorite songs just cuz of how catchy and lovely it is. Great song to play if you’re in love

Thirteen Silver Dollars by Colter Wall. About a cop hassling a homeless guy, and part of the lyrics are “I just looked him in the eye and sang Blue Yodel Number 9, he didn’t catch the reference, I could tell” and that song’s about a cop hassling a homeless guy

I love that the drum and bass parts are identical to the original, just way more relaxed in Sturgill’s version

Sturgill Simpson genre-hops with grace. A Sailor’s Guide to Earth and Sound and Fury are 2 albums that’ll surprise you if you think “all country artists just play cheesy country”

Sucks even more because he had so many songs about struggling with addiction and getting away from drugs. “Slippin and Slidin’” is one of my favs because it’s so relatable.
Saw him live in St Augustine FL during his Single Mothers, Absent Fathers tour with Cory Branan as the opener, great show. I miss him too

I have a coworker like this. A catastrophist who’ll start the day off with “Man, today is gonna suck”
It’s like, well yea NOW it is, because you’ve decided it will suck.
You think, therefore you are. It requires a big mindset shift, nothing will improve while their attitude refuses to
