I completely agree, it's not a red or blue thing it's absolutely purple. Every once in awhile there's a strong union presence in a particular place that has a little more influence than others but it's rare and hyper local. I choose the RWU example because there appears to be a clear linkage between rail executives and elected officials coordinating against the interest of organized labor. It being such a large and important union I feel that other people interested in organized labor movements should be aware of how RWU was sidelined and create more multidisciplinary alliances with other unions which was the norm when they had more power.

I just wish there were better chains, Gloria Jean's needs one or two, a Bigby's or Carribou. I enjoy all of these more than St arbz

Entrepreneurship Vs corporatization. Growth doesn't necessarily mean more locations unless it's a B2C company because sq ft directly impacts how much revenue you generate.

How do you feel about the federal government preventing RWU from striking? Does that make President Biden/ Congress Union Busters?

Several tens of billions of dollars of military equipment would disagree.....you can also be anti-war without being pro-russia, there were plenty of people that disagreed with the war in Vietnam but weren't necessarily pro-communisim/ pro-VC etc.

Was way better as a mayor and Lt Gov IMO, a star in local and state politics but at the national level I feel like he's repeating establishment talking points (to the best of his ability, which ain't great right now) and really trying to "party up". Idk if it was the stroke or if he was alaways bound to turn more middle establishment dem rather than big pot flag in the state capital Fetterman.

Herd a ton about KGB activity here during the cold war, but that stuff is very very hard to find any real source on.

So many wild theories, I think the awareness around the 4th river stemmed from water clean up movement that happened here. I do think protecting the "4th river" should be a major concern. Especially after the recent study into cancer and birth defect causing pollutants still being disposed in the rivers.

Better question, why are there mounted cops at all? Why are tax payer dollars being spent on expensive police academy class pets? I bet most cops would rather get another PTO day a year than get to ride a horse that doesn't want to be ridden anyways..
