Thes guys make all their money through new "employees". Each new employee has a group of friends, family, contacts they don't have.

Once the employee is tapped for contacts he starts under performing and eventually gets fired.

Finally, they bank on you not saying anything and continuing the policy because you're embarrassed but really, it's just their business model.

Consumer preference and demographics are the driving forces.

Fast casual meals are often coming in at the same price point and generally of better quality. Most dinners aren't interested in sitting down for an hour + meal that is generally not on par with the fast casual alternatives.

Inside the city, there is a whole host of options to complete with ENP, specialty brunch spots weren't a thing 20yrs ago. ENP realized fast casual/changing consumer preference and targeted these crowds by way of SixPenn(RIP), The Porch, Hello Bistro.

Denny's, ENP, King's, Bob Evans are all dinosaurs that aren't bringing in business when there is an abundance of competition. Years ago, their competition was probably dinners, but most dinners have closed up in favor of these newer age alternatives. If you look around the city, there just aren't many sit down restaurant chains.

So, outside the city, life moves a bit slower, considerably less competition from the brunch & mimosa, more families on family budgets, etc.

Yeah, some of the Southside problems have been as early as 11pm. So, 2 hours for dinner at 8 really isn't far from the time when issues have occured.

This one was 9pm

You are right, most shootings are late night. Per below, only 30% of shootings are outside of 11pm-5am. Meaning, 20 of 63 shots fired in the first half of 2022 are in the times when it's "safe". I'd be interested to see shootings from evening to late night, I bet it makes up most of that 30%( how many shootings do you hear of at 9am).

Not when the service provided directly benefits them, that is a service provider, a vendor. When their contributors are only a set of ten companies, how can a non-profit act independent of those 10 companies?

Is it a non-profit? I can't seem to find that information. I only briefly skimmed but it seems they refund excess deposits from ???. Makes me think the energy cos supply them and they build infrastructure for those companies?

Is this "non-profit" funded by the for profit companies? That would create a nice conflict of interest.

DQE is for sure for profit, which I find to be completely fucked. Mostly owned by Singapore.
