People going through reds is insane here. Literally crossed the street today and had a minivan run red well after it turned and drive through a gap all of us in the crosswalk, she barely fit in, cause freakin’ mini van -_-

I swear I shouldn’t be shocked, but still am infuriated every time I see a story about a pedestrian killed by a negligent driver. May she rest in peace…

Nah, Ticketmaster always defaults to 2 as far as I know. I always just select 1 and go buy the ticket for whatever event I want to go to. I say this as someone who goes to metal shows alone frequently.

Hope you have fun, OP!

As someone who lives in MD, but doesn’t drive or own a car, please lol … My most recent honorable interaction with a Maryland driver was literally crossing on my turn and the car was already through the intersection ready to blast by me as soon as there was enough room. Can only imagine the disaster NYE is gonna be

Unfortunately, I’m not even shocked. Beating on a lady and throwing her off the bus really drove home how groups of teens of the area really don’t care for anything but themselves and “clout” with their peers.

I’ve honestly been studying pedestrian techniques of the streets of Vietnam (their cars don’t stop on busy streets), and implemented some of the techniques since I think DC drivers are very similar. The cars won’t stop, so pedestrians gotta be vigilant and creative.

Stay safe out there!
