Borealis in Bristol often has a jazz trio perform. Usually Saturday nights. They serve cocktails now that they got their full liquor license.

Borealis. You'll want their Three Phase Espresso.
edit: All their coffees are good. You can have any one of them ground to espresso grind and make espresso with them.

Reply to Who still hasn't turned on their heat? by deathsythe
I have no heat. Furnace is getting replaced next week. I do have a small space heater that can heat one room if needed. I've used it maybe 5 or 6 times just enough to take the chill off the room. House is an icebox otherwise.

You can still visit it. They're open until the end of January.
Symposium Books on Westmintster downtown has a good mix of new and used books.
Paper Nautilus in Wayland is good.

Coffee Exchange on Wickenden St. They just reopened their indoor space. One of the best places for coffee in the state. I'd call ahead to see about their wifi. It has been a while since I've gone there.
Borealis in East Providence would be my first recommendation but it's about 10/15 minutes drive from Providence. Excellent coffee and they serve food too. Definitely have wifi and plenty of space to work.

Probably the flu or rsv. Get well soon! I’m on day 4 of Covid and it sucks.

I was feeling off and tested negative. Tested again 3 days later as positive. Feels a lot like the flu. Test again.

That's really good to know. It was always so packed going there. Practically had to fight for a table.

Awesome. Was it crowded? I may have to drop in tomorrow. Haven't been down since pre-pandemic.

At last! Pic looks old though. Is that the renovated space? Did they open the upstairs too?

It's pretty much like Job Lot. At least the one in Seekonk is. Went once, didn't buy anything and will probably never go again.

Bummer. Blue State used to be really good with the original owners. They used to do open mic poetry there too.

Nice Neal Cassady/Jack Kerouac writing vibe.
Skip Plant City. Garden Grille has better vegan/vegetarian. Go to RISD Museum for art. You could spend the whole day in there.

It really is pretty great. I only have minor anxiety about it these day but once I'm in the chair it's all good. I go for cleanings every 3 months or so. I get the same hygienist each visit and she's great. I'm deaf (wear hearing aids) and she makes sure I understand everything during the visit. It really helps ease my anxieties over it. Been going there 4 years now.

Perfect Smiles in Seekonk. They are awesome. I had severe anxiety about getting my teeth taken care of after many many years of neglect but they have been just great. Free nitrous if you request it. You can watch TV while in the heated massage chair while they work on you. It is awesome. haha I had a ton of work done and only one more procedure left to do. The only time I felt any kind of pain was the day after an extraction. Didn't feel any pain with the crowns/onlays I had done.

Downtown Providence:
Cellar Stories for used books, magazines, ephemera. Could spend hours in here.
Symposium for new and used.
East Side:
Books on the Square is good for new. I think they also have some used books.
Paper Nautilus for used books.
Twenty Stories for new contemporary books. Get a book then go next door to Aleppo Sweets.

Found a slideshow list of all the stores since 2002. Oop! is on there and a couple others that might ring a bell.

Perfect Smiles in Seekonk. I’ve been going there for a few years now. Just had two fillings done yesterday. No pain and in and out within 25 minutes. Didn’t even need Novocain.
