I think the frostbite warning is more for overnight when it’s -20, -30. This morning is cold but not as bad.

Reply to Is Boston safe? by joanlojo
Yes. Obviously having some basic city sense/street smarts always works in your favor, but Boston - especially the places/neighborhoods that tourists tend to go - is safe.
I’ve walked around Boston alone many times as a 115lb woman and literally never felt uncomfortable.

Not really vintage or anything, but the Providence Place mall does have an entire LEGO store.

Yup, Garment District is definitely worth a stop. It’s not specifically alternative, but they have a pretty broad selection of stuff, and as a fellow alt person I’ve definitely had some good finds there.

Yup, jumping on board this recommendation here. They even offer stronger sedation than nitrous, if your anxiety is that severe (not free, but depending on discomfort levels it’s worth it for some people!). Everyone I’ve seen here has been incredibly friendly and soothing, very respectful of people who are uncomfortable at the dentist and they make every effort to make it as comfortable as possible.

Reply to TD Garden Back of Balcony View? by CoolZakCZ
I’ve been in balcony seats many times, many different sections. You can see what’s going on but obviously everything is pretty small, so if you’re like me and have shitty vision, it’s doable but not ideal. Concerts with balcony are definitely better than games with balcony, because with concerts the sound is still great up there, and a lot of artists use the screens to show a zoomed in view for the balcony seats.

Reply to Hey guys, had a walking/ hiking question. by bunnybates
Maybe a really obvious suggestion, but have you been to Lincoln Woods? The main part is a paved loop so not a hike per se, but if you’re just trying to take long walks somewhere besides city streets, it’s nice.
The main loop is 2.5 miles.
