10-20 feet isn't even one car length. And what are they driving that can speed up that quick? Also, again, why are you waiting that late to merge?!?!?!?!? It's okay to be in denial that you're actually the problem. But please learn from this.

A blinker doesn't give you the right of way. Also if you're waiting that long to get over for your exit then you need to learn to plan ahead. Lastly 10-20 feet is not a reasonable amount of distance to merge infront of a car, you're cutting people off which is why the don't let you merge.

If it's coming through the floor it's probably cause the water table is really high. Same thing happens at my house. There's a waterproof paint for basement floors you could put down to seal it. Not all that uncommon for older homes around here.

It's a supply problem. Not a too high of demand for housing problem. People aren't moving because of high cost of housing and high interest rates. And they especially won't move if prices plummet and they're upside down on their loan by tens of thousands of dollars. Because of this there's few homes for sale. And it will continue to be this way until more housing is available.

If they take that gamble they have a home they can afford, even if prices drop. If they don't take the gamble and house prices continue to creep higher they will be stuck renting and it will take them far longer to buy a house. And if home prices drop more than 20 percent we're all probably in big trouble no matter what we own.
